How to Setup a Paypal Account

Many businesses are now even using paypal to pay their employees. Anyone who shops online should have a paypal account. You can even use it to send someone in your family money. All you would need to know is what email address they use on PayPal and you could transfer money to them. Ebay also accepts PayPal as a preferred method of payment. It is easy to set up and is very quick. Follow these 5 simple steps and get started sending and receiving money today.

Open up a new browser window and type "www.paypal.com". Once on the paypal website click sign up. On the next page you will be given 3 options, Personal, Premier, or business. For now go ahead and select personal. You can always upgrade your account later on. The next page will require you filling out the text boxes with some personal info. You will need the following information:

Enter your personal information and create a password. Be sure to read the user agreement and privacy policy and then click "I Agree, Create My Account" at the bottom of the page.

On the next page you will be given 2 options, bank account and creidt card. In this turorial we will be using hte bank account option. Click the button that says "continue" located under the bank account option. In the first text box you will enter the name of your bank. Next you will select wether it is a checking or savings. In the next text box you will enter you routing number. Then you will enter your bank account number in the next box. After that you will re-enter your account number again.

You will need to make sure that you have your check book handy so that you can get your bank account number and routing number.

After all of you bank account information is enterd click "continue"

Paypal will send a verification email to the email address you entered in step 1. Find the paypal email and click the link in the email to begin the verifaction process. This will take you to an information verification screen. You will be prompted to enter the answers to your security questions here and verify your information. Once this process ic completed you will see a message that says "your account has been successfully completed". Congratulations your paypal account is now setup.
